Kristy's journey into the heart of media and storytelling began in the halls of a graphic design school, where a single darkroom photography class opened the door to a world where art meets technology. Embracing her newfound passion, Kristy invested in a DSLR camera and editing software, merging her love for imagery with her fascination for tech. What started as a venture to create and edit images soon blossomed into a source of income, as she lent her growing expertise to friends, family, and, gradually, a wider circle through valuable referrals.
As demands for photography and media services surged, especially among small businesses seeking to carve their niches, Kristy ventured further, incorporating videography into her repertoire. However, it was the unforeseen challenges of COVID-19 in March 2020 that catalyzed a significant pivot in her career. With the pandemic's economic fallout claiming her job, Kristy faced the daunting job market with resilience but to no avail. It was in this crucible of uncertainty that Kristy resolved to harness her talents and passions fully, founding Content Maven Media, LLC from her base in Chicago.
